Small ornamental stand
A teapoy is a small three-legged table, originally from India, designed to hold a tea service.
Despite the name, the word derives from Hindi for "three-footed" rather than from tea.
The term now applies to any small ornamental table used for serving tea: She set the cups on the teapoy.
