strainer
Mesh kitchen bowl
A strainer is a kitchen tool with small holes or mesh that lets liquid pass through while catching solids—used for draining pasta, rinsing vegetables, or separating pulp from juice.
Pour the stock through a strainer to remove the bones.
Any device that filters or separates can be called a strainer: a drain strainer catches debris before it clogs pipes.
