tagout

Baseball touch elimination

Tagout is a workplace safety procedure in which a warning tag is attached to equipment that has been locked out of service, typically during maintenance or repair.

The tag identifies who disabled the equipment and why, preventing others from accidentally restarting it.

Almost always paired with lockout: Follow lockout/tagout procedures before servicing the machine.
