energization

Supplying with power

Energization is the act of supplying energy or power to something, or the state of being so supplied.

The term appears most often in technical contexts—the energization of a power grid, a transformer, or an electrical circuit: The system requires proper energization before testing begins.

It can also describe infusing someone or something with vigor or enthusiasm, though this figurative use is less common than the straightforward "energize."
