spheroid
Almost a ball
A spheroid is a three-dimensional shape that resembles a sphere but isn't perfectly round—typically flattened or elongated along one axis.
Earth is technically an oblate spheroid, bulging slightly at the equator.
In casual use, spheroid often just means something roughly ball-shaped: The dough formed an imperfect spheroid.
