ski tow

Uphill cable ride

A ski tow is a mechanical device that pulls skiers uphill, typically a moving rope or cable that skiers grasp or attach to while remaining on their skis.

Ski tows are simpler and slower than chairlifts, often found on beginner slopes or small hills: The bunny slope had a rope tow instead of a chairlift.
