self-pollination

Flower fertilizes itself

Self-pollination is the transfer of pollen from a flower's male parts to its own female parts, or to another flower on the same plant.

Some plants self-pollinate as a backup when pollinators are scarce: Tomatoes can self-pollinate even in a greenhouse.

The opposite is cross-pollination, which requires pollen from a different plant.
