sea horse
Upright swimming fish
A sea horse is a small marine fish with an upright posture, curled tail, and horse-shaped head.
Sea horses swim vertically and use their tails to anchor to seagrass and coral.
Unusually, males carry fertilized eggs in a pouch until birth.
The name also applies to the mythological creature—half horse, half fish—that pulls Poseidon's chariot.
