scleral
White eye covering
Scleral relates to the sclera—the tough, white outer layer of the eyeball.
The term appears mainly in medical and optometric contexts: scleral buckle (a surgical device), scleral lens (a large contact lens that rests on the sclera rather than the cornea), scleral icterus (yellowing of the whites of the eyes).
