Boards with sails
Sailboards are the watercraft used in windsurfing, consisting of a surfboard-like platform with a mast and sail attached by a universal joint.
The rider stands on the board and maneuvers by tilting and rotating the sail to catch wind, combining elements of surfing and sailing.
We rented sailboards at the beach resort.
The sport gained popularity in the 1970s and became an Olympic event in 1984.
