correspond
Write back and forth
Correspond has two main senses.
First, to match or be equivalent: The punishment should correspond to the crime.
Second, to exchange letters or messages: They corresponded for years before meeting.
Things that correspond are in agreement or harmony; people who correspond communicate in writing.
A correspondent is someone who corresponds—or a journalist reporting from a particular location.
