rubber bridge
Informal card game
Rubber bridge is the traditional form of contract bridge played informally, as opposed to duplicate bridge used in tournaments.
A rubber consists of the best of three games, with the side winning two games first winning the rubber.
Points accumulate across hands, and luck of the deal plays a larger role than in duplicate: We played rubber bridge at the club on Thursdays.
