duplicate bridge
Tournament card game
Duplicate bridge is a form of contract bridge in which the same deals are played by multiple tables, allowing direct comparison of results.
Unlike rubber bridge, where luck of the deal dominates, duplicate bridge isolates skill by measuring how well each partnership plays identical hands: She plays duplicate bridge at the club every Tuesday.
It's the standard format for tournament and competitive play.
