Coastie
Sea patrol member
A Coastie is a member of the U.S.
Coast Guard, used informally by service members and others familiar with military culture: My brother's a Coastie stationed in Alaska.
The term is casual and generally affectionate, though it can carry a hint of ribbing from other branches who view the Coast Guard as less rigorous.
