reintegrative
Restoring to unity
Reintegrative describes processes that restore someone or something to a unified whole or to membership in a group.
The term appears most often in criminal justice contexts, where reintegrative approaches aim to return offenders to society as functioning members rather than permanently excluding them: reintegrative shaming, reintegrative justice programs.
The focus is on repair and inclusion rather than punishment.
