holistic
Whole-system, not parts
The adjective holistic is typically used in reference to the belief that wellness and illness arise from connections among mind, body, and spirit: I’ve been going to a holistic practitioner for my asthma.
Though it does not begin with a ‘w’, holistic is related to the idea of whole, with the assumption that things must be viewed as wholes rather than in terms of their parts.
Holistic is also used to mean alternative or unconventional.
