re-education
Coercive belief replacement
Re-education is instruction meant to replace previous beliefs or habits with new ones.
The term often carries sinister connotations—governments have used "re-education camps" to forcibly indoctrinate political prisoners or suppress dissent: Dissidents were sent to re-education facilities.
In neutral contexts, it simply means retraining: The program focused on re-education of workers displaced by automation.
