BiPAP
Dual-pressure airway support
BiPAP is a breathing device that delivers air at two different pressures—higher when inhaling, lower when exhaling.
Used to treat sleep apnea, respiratory failure, and other conditions where patients need help moving air in and out of their lungs.
The name stands for bilevel positive airway pressure: She was put on BiPAP after the surgery.
Compare CPAP, which uses constant pressure.
