quadrantanopia

Visual quarter loss

Quadrantanopia is loss of vision in one quarter of the visual field, typically affecting the same quadrant in both eyes.

The condition results from damage to specific parts of the brain's visual pathways, often from stroke or tumor.

Also called quadrantanopsia.

The patient's quadrantanopia made reading difficult, as words disappeared into the blind spot.
