presidential
Fit for leadership
Presidential describes things relating to a president or the office of the presidency: a presidential election, presidential powers, a presidential library.
When describing behavior, presidential suggests the dignity and gravitas expected of a head of state: He looked presidential in his tailored suit.
The opposite implication—that someone's conduct falls short of the office—often lurks nearby: That outburst was hardly presidential.
