pneumothorax
Air-invaded chest cavity
Pneumothorax is a medical condition in which air accumulates in the space between the lung and chest wall, causing the lung to collapse partially or completely.
It can result from chest injury, lung disease, or occur spontaneously.
Symptoms include sudden chest pain and difficulty breathing: The patient was diagnosed with a pneumothorax after the car accident.
