pink-eyed

Lacking iris pigment

Pink-eyed describes eyes that are pink or reddish, either from albinism (where lack of pigment reveals blood vessels beneath) or from irritation, crying, or illness.

Albino rabbits and rats are often called pink-eyed: a pink-eyed white mouse.

The term also describes the bleary look of someone exhausted or hungover.
