packsaddle
Beast's cargo frame
A packsaddle is a saddle designed for carrying loads rather than riders.
It sits on a horse, mule, or donkey and provides a frame for securing cargo—bags, crates, or bundles strapped to either side.
Unlike riding saddles, packsaddles distribute weight evenly across the animal's back without accommodating a seated person: The mule train carried supplies on packsaddles through the mountain pass.
