oviduct

Egg transport tube

An oviduct is the tube through which eggs pass from the ovary to the uterus or to the outside of the body.

In mammals, the oviducts are also called fallopian tubes.

Birds, reptiles, and fish also have oviducts—in egg-laying species, this is the passage through which the egg travels before being laid.
