vas deferens

Male reproductive conduit

The vas deferens is the duct that carries sperm from the testicle to the urethra in male mammals.

During ejaculation, sperm travel through this muscular tube to mix with other fluids.

A vasectomy cuts or blocks the vas deferens to prevent sperm from reaching the semen.

Plural: vasa deferentia.
