oculists
Vision care specialists
Oculists are eye doctors—physicians who examine eyes and treat eye diseases.
The term is old-fashioned; modern usage distinguishes between ophthalmologists (medical doctors specializing in eyes) and optometrists (who test vision and prescribe glasses).
