cover test
Eye alignment check
A cover test is an eye examination where one eye is covered while the patient focuses on a target, then uncovered to observe how the eyes align.
Ophthalmologists and optometrists use it to detect strabismus (misalignment) and other binocular vision problems: The cover test revealed a slight inward drift in her left eye.
