Linked striking sticks
Nunchucks are a martial arts weapon consisting of two short sticks connected by a chain or cord, swung and spun as striking weapons.
Popularized in the West through Bruce Lee films and ninja movies, they became iconic enough that many jurisdictions banned them.
The word comes from Okinawan Japanese.
Also spelled nunchaku, the original form.
