first-person narratives
Told through "I"
First-person narratives are stories told from the viewpoint of a character within the story, using "I" or "we." The narrator experiences events directly rather than observing from outside: The novel unfolds as a first-person narrative through the protagonist's journal entries.
The form creates intimacy but limits knowledge to what the narrator perceives or knows.
