minicomics
Small self-published booklets
Minicomics are small, self-published comic books, typically photocopied and hand-assembled, often measuring around 4×5 inches or smaller.
They emerged from zine culture and remain a staple of independent and underground comics scenes.
The format allows creators to bypass traditional publishing: She sold her minicomics at the convention for a few dollars each.
The DIY aesthetic is part of the appeal.
