medicine ball
Heavy exercise orb
A medicine ball is a heavy, weighted ball used for exercise and physical training.
Unlike bouncy rubber balls, medicine balls are dense and solid, typically ranging from a few pounds to over twenty pounds.
They're thrown, caught, or held during movements to build strength and coordination: We did partner tosses with the medicine ball.
