media outlet
Information distribution channel
A media outlet is an organization that publishes or broadcasts news and information to the public—newspapers, television networks, radio stations, websites, and the like.
The term is neutral shorthand that avoids specifying format: Fox News and the New York Times are media outlets with very different audiences.
In discussions of journalism, media outlets are often characterized by their perceived bias or reach.
