majordomo
Chief household manager
A majordomo is the head servant of a large household, responsible for managing staff and domestic affairs.
The term extends to anyone who serves as a chief steward or organizer: She was the majordomo of the entire operation, coordinating schedules and keeping everyone on task.
The word carries a slightly grandiose or ironic tone when applied outside aristocratic contexts.
