luxation
Bone slips out
Luxation is the medical term for a dislocation—a joint forced out of its normal position: The fall caused a luxation of the shoulder.
Complete luxation means total displacement; partial displacement is subluxation.
The term appears most often in medical contexts, while everyday speech prefers dislocation.
