lapel mic
Broadcaster's tiny pickup
A lapel mic is a small microphone that clips to clothing near the speaker's mouth, typically on a lapel, collar, or tie.
Also called a lavalier or lav mic.
Lapel mics allow hands-free audio recording for interviews, presentations, and video production: The sound guy clipped a lapel mic to her jacket.
