desk mic
Stationary recording device
A desk mic is a microphone designed to sit on a desk or table rather than be held or mounted on a stand.
Desk mics are common in podcasting, streaming, and home office setups: I upgraded to a desk mic for better audio on video calls.
Most feature a weighted base or clamp mount to keep them stable during use.
