tumble turn
Swimmer's wall somersault
A tumble turn is a swimming technique for reversing direction at the pool wall without stopping.
The swimmer somersaults underwater, plants feet against the wall, and pushes off—faster than touching the wall and turning around.
Also called a flip turn, especially in American English: She shaved two seconds off her time after mastering the tumble turn.
