implanting
Placing something inside
Implanting is the act of placing something firmly into position, whether physically or figuratively.
A surgeon implants a device in the body; an idea becomes implanted in the mind.
The word often suggests permanence—something embedded that will remain: After implanting the pacemaker, the doctor monitored recovery.
In reproductive biology, implanting refers to an embryo attaching to the uterine wall.
