hooping
Spinning circular toy
Hooping is the practice of spinning a hoop—typically a weighted hula hoop—around the body as exercise, dance, or performance art.
What began as a children's toy became an adult fitness trend and flow art form: She took up hooping to work on her core strength.
Hooping also refers to the act of fitting something with hoops, as in barrel-making.
