herbology
Study of plants
Herbology is the study of plants, especially those with medicinal or magical properties.
The term appears most often in fantasy contexts—particularly the Harry Potter series, where it names a class on magical plants.
Outside fiction, herbology overlaps with herbalism, the practice of using plants for healing: She studied herbology to learn about natural remedies.
