grouting

Bathroom tile work

Grouting is the process of filling gaps or joints with grout—a paste of cement, water, and sometimes sand.

Most commonly refers to filling the spaces between tiles: The grouting in the bathroom took longer than laying the tiles themselves.

The term covers both the application and the material applied.
