greyscaling
Converting to monochrome
Greyscaling is converting a color image or display to shades of grey, removing all color information.
The technique appears in design, photography, and accessibility settings.
Some people greyscale their phone screens to reduce the dopamine hit of colorful apps and curb screen addiction: I've been greyscaling my phone and I actually check it less now.
