color saturation
Pigment strength measure
Color saturation is the intensity or purity of a color—how vivid it appears rather than how light or dark.
A highly saturated red is bold and rich; a desaturated red appears washed out or grayish.
Photographers and designers adjust saturation to make images pop or create muted, subdued effects: I bumped up the saturation to make the sunset more dramatic.
