free association
Say whatever comes
Free association is a technique of saying whatever comes to mind without censoring or organizing thoughts.
In psychoanalysis, patients free-associate to reveal unconscious connections: The therapist asked him to free-associate from the word "mother".
More loosely, it describes any stream-of-consciousness thinking or conversation that jumps from topic to topic by loose mental links rather than logic.
