film canisters
Cylindrical photo storage
Film canisters are the small cylindrical containers that hold rolls of photographic film.
The plastic or metal cases protect unexposed film from light and keep developed negatives safe for storage.
Before digital photography, these ubiquitous little tubes accumulated in drawers and found second lives holding coins, beads, or other small items: I kept my spare change in old film canisters.
