Filmless image capture
Digital photography is the capture and storage of images as electronic data rather than on film.
A digital camera records light through a sensor that converts it to pixels, producing files that can be instantly viewed, edited, copied, and shared.
The technology has largely displaced film photography for everyday use, though some photographers still prefer analog methods for aesthetic reasons.
