mirrorless cameras
No reflex mechanism
Mirrorless cameras are digital cameras that lack the internal mirror mechanism found in traditional SLRs.
In an SLR, a mirror reflects light to an optical viewfinder; mirrorless cameras eliminate this, sending light directly to the image sensor and displaying the result on an electronic screen or viewfinder.
This design allows for smaller, lighter camera bodies while maintaining interchangeable lens capability: She switched to mirrorless for travel photography.
