A femboy is a young man who adopts a feminine appearance—typically through clothing, makeup, hairstyle, or mannerisms—while identifying as male.
The term emerged from internet culture and is used both as self-identification and description: He posts femboy fashion on TikTok.
Unlike drag, which involves theatrical performance, femboy describes an everyday aesthetic.
The term is generally neutral or positive in LGBTQ+ spaces but can be used disparagingly by others.
