sissy
Derogatory coward term
Sissy is a disparaging term for a boy or man considered weak, timid, or effeminate—someone who doesn't meet expectations of masculine toughness: Don't be such a sissy.
The word often targets boys who avoid rough play or show fear.
It carries strong connotations of cowardice and, frequently, implied homosexuality.
As an adjective: sissy behavior.
Originally a child's word for sister.
