electroshocks
Voltage through body
Electroshocks are jolts of electricity delivered to the body, most often in the context of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a psychiatric treatment for severe depression and other conditions: The patient received electroshocks twice weekly.
The term also covers electric shocks from other sources—stun guns, faulty wiring, or medical defibrillators.
As a verb, to electroshock is to administer such treatment.
